Comprehensive Risk Assessment HCF Insurance and their Risk management team provides on‐site risk assesments for Healthcare Facilities that include a detailed review of the effectiveness of facility‐specific loss control practices, documentation, protocols, and other risk factors. Along with the Risk Assessment Executive Summary of findings, the client is provided with a list of Best Practices and Loss Control Recommendations based on facility specific needs and our experience over many years in thousands of Long Term Care facilities. Resource and Crisis Management Helpline HCF clients have access to their toll‐free Helpline designed to answer pressing safety, regulatory, and risk‐related questions. HCF's Helpline Specialist can answer risk management questions, refer callers to applicable resources, offer suggestions in a crisis, and fax copies of regulatory memos and other documents. On-Line Continuing Education HCF offers all employees at each insured facility unlimited access to an education site with approximately ten Long Term Care courses for continuing education. Each course includes written or video based instruction, a learning activity, and post test. Upon successful completion the participant is able to print a certificate of completion and management is able to track performance. Risk Management Resource Guide HCF and their partners have developed a Risk Management Resource Guide online or on CD with tools for loss control, risk management, and performance improvement. HCF insured's are granted the authority to edit and reproduce hundreds of forms, tools, and other resources as needed. Materials are provided in a user‐friendly, easy to edit format. Web-based Resources HCF's website provides their clients with access to numerous articles, checklists, tools, and links for Long Term Care resources nationwide. Advocate Newsletter HCF publishes a quarterly newsletter designed to provide information on long term care regulatory, and legal trends, as well as working tools for HCF client use, including quality control check lists, sample policies, and more. E-News Alerts HCF keeps their clients informed via e‐mail messages about articles on long term care trends, issues, lawsuits, and more. |
